Article 21 gives the author the exclusive economic right to exploit a work through reproduction, communication to the public, and creation of a derivative work, and paragraph (f) of the list following it names reproduction of the work among the acts requiring the author's authorization. Article 24 permits only a natural person's private reproduction of a published work in a single copy for personal purposes.
